The SABIC PROJECT PAGE
The SMART African Biotechnology Information Centre (SABIC), aims to develop a platform for gathering data on Biotechnology a) Innovation b) Development, and c) Commercialization in Africa.
The Project is designed to be implemented in three phases:
PHASE I: EXPLORATORY
The exploratory phase will gather data for the design of a model to be developed at phase II.
COORDINATION: Biotech tropicana,IncEXPLORER
PHASE II: DEVELOPMENT
The development phase will develop a 'Structured Database' accessible to external users.
COORDINATION: Biotedch tropicana,IncFACILITATOR
PHASE III: IMPLEMENTATION
The implementable version is designed to comport
a) a freely accessible interface, and
b) a second interface accessible only to registered users

Projected period of incubation: 5 to 10 years.
